No More Blanding

Well I just found out yesterday that I do not have to go to Blanding anymore for school. There was an opening here in Price and I was the first alternate. YAY!!! I get to stay home. We were so excited to hear this. Ty was especially excited. We fasted and prayed that this would happen and sure enough it did. So we are very thankful to Heavenly father for answering our prayers.

LPN Graduation

Last friday I graduated with my licensed practical nursing certificate. I have officially completed my first year of nursing school.

This was a big accomplishment it was a rough year and alot of sweat and tears went into this.

If it wasn't for Ty and my family i couldn't have done it. Ty was a huge support and a great shoulder to cry on.

With the program at CEU you have to reapply for the RN year (the second year of the program) there are two campus's one in Price and one is Blanding. well I got into the RN program in Blanding :(. I'm not too excited about it but everything will work out in the end. I just keep telling myself in one year i will be a Registered Nurse.

For Ty's 24th birthday we went with his family to Delta for his brothers motocross racing. The weekend was ended early because CJ got a little banged up and couldnt race. So his birthday was spent mostly driving but it was still a good day

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Vernal for Labor Day. Ty's family was at Flaming Gorge fishing and mine was going to Kyla's. It worked out perfect because we were able to be with both families. Ty and his dad took my dad and brothers fishing Saturday. they had alot of fun. I'm glad they went. I stayed at Kyla's and we thought we would show off our crafty side. We made these Halloween table runners. Mine is really like a table cloth since my table is a 2x2 but one day i will have a grown up table :D. It was really fun and i think they turned out so cute!

Saturday night we were all at the Gorge watching the boat parade and the fireworks. Ty and I stayed the night up there and had to come home early sunday because i got the flu that night (not a fun night on the lake). We were bummed we couldnt stay the rest of the weekend. they had a blast without us though. Ty had to stay cooped up with me for the rest of the weekend. All in all it didnt turn out to be so bad i got to catch up on some much needed rest.

Ty and I have started school again. Its going to be a rough year but exciting. The nursing program is definatly hard and forces me to study alot. but it will all be worth it in the end. Ty is doing business classes he seems to like them so far but also has alot of homework. Even though i wasnt a very good blogger before im going to be even worse now. :D

Saturday was our first anniversary! I cannot believe it has been
a whole year. It seems like we got married yesterday. It has been
a great year. They say the first year is the hardest, if thats the
case the rest of our life will be a breeze. We have had a Great Year!

The second week in June we went with Ty's family to Lake Powell for 5 days. His aunt Marcie and her family came too. It was a much needed vacation. We camped on the beach in a tent and spent the day on the water in the boat. It wasnt the warmest weather it was around 70 to 80 every day which was just about perfect. We had alot of fun relaxing.

Memorial day weekend

For Memorial Day weekend we split it between our families. We went to Vernal on Friday and stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Gallies, on Saturday we went to the cemetary to take some flowers then we headed up on the mountian where Ty's family was camping. It had been raining all day it was a muddy mess. we stayed for a little bit but we were crowding their campers so we decided just to go home. It was fun too see everyone. wish we could have stayed longer. On the way home This rock slide barely missed Ty's truck. We lucked out on this one.

My family was staying out to Huntington Lake in my mom's camper. It was pretty rainy all weekend we only got the boat on on monday but it was alot of fun to spend time with everyone.

We graduated from CEU last saturday with our Associates in Science. We are excited we are half way done. Ty is going into Human Resource Managment. He will take classes at the utah state extention here in price for his bachelors degree. I got accepted into the nursing program here in price. We are so happy we get to stay here close to our families.

We don't really know what to do with our time after work now. ever since we have been married we have been in school and doing homework after work and on the weekends. The bad news is we wont have much of a summer. Ty is taking a summer math class that starts next week, and as soon as his class ends the nursing program starts the end of June. But oh well thats life. the sooner we get school done with the sooner we will graduate.
All our family was there for our graduation and for a lunchen afterwards. It was great seeing them. We are so blessed to have such amazing families that are always there for us.

Tys birthday was friday. We were going to plan something to do this weekend but we cant do to much now because Ty fractured his elbow monday night playing basketball. Its huge and swollen. The good news is it didnt have to be in a cast or anything he has a brace to wear but he doesnt ... figures. but it is slowly getting better.

So i heard of this little restaraunt in East Carbon called the Pik and Shovel. It was so cute and very good. its decorated in outdoors we reserved the outhouse to eat dinner in. so we were inside this cozy little out house it was funny. The food was very good i recomend this place.

We were early to dinner so we took a little ride up the canyon and there was a bunch of animals off the side of the road we thought it had to be deer since they were so close but they were Desert Big Horn Sheep. It was exciting i have only seen them once before. There were 19 rams. We watched them for a while and then went and ate. I think that made Ty's night.

Spring Break!

Since Ty and I have to be grown ups now we didnt get much of a spring break we worked all week. We went up to Kyla's that weekend to see the new baby and spend the weekend to get a little break. we had alot of fun. We flew kites on fishing poles. I know it looks really odd but it is a great idea you just let it out and reel it in. We had more fun with it than madi did. We also went for a ride up the canyon and shot guns for a little bit. Madi had to bring her pink gun too she was so funny.

Sisters Weekend

Last weekend my mom syd and I went up to Kyla's to spend the weekend with her for her birthday. We had a blast it was so much fun to get together with her and Madi. We brought Ryter up with us to play with Madi. They are so funny together they both get so excited when they see each other. Saturday night Syd and I went snowboarding that was the first time we have gone this year. It started out a little sketchy but we did better that I thought. It was a lot of fun, other than I was so sore afterwards. We kept having to sit down in the middle of the run because our legs were killing us. It was funny. We also made some hair bows and tested out our creativity. I think they turned out really cute. I stole these pics from Kyla's blog I dont have any.

Weekends

These last few weekends Ty and I have spent doing seperate things which has been different than normal. I dont want to make this a habit at all but we have to seperate sometimes I guess haha. Ty has had to work the last 2 saturdays latley so I have spent saturdays with my family.
Last saturday I went to State Drill with my parents. I am so proud of Sydni. She is such a great dancer. She works so hard and spends so much time practicing. I know i would have quit by now. she is really dedicated and a beautiful dancer. The Spardettes did an amazing job. They didnt come home with any trophies by I was proud of them. They did a good job.
This weekend Ty went to Heber City for CJ's motorcycle races. He isnt home yet so I havent heard all about it yet I will have to blog about that later. but what I do know is CJ did awesome he took 3rd overall both days racing. He is a great rider. Ty loves going to watch him I think Ty is more excited about it than CJ at times. Its fun to see that they love racing so much.
Today I went to Duchesne to my cousins baby shower. It was fun to see everyone. I love getting together with my family they always make my face hurt from laughing so hard. The highlight of today was hanging out with Ryter and Madi. Those two kids are the light of my life. I love the age they are at. They never cease to amaze me.
Next weekend is sounding like we will spend it apart again buts its ok we spend time together during the week.
I just want to add in here how lucky I am to have such a great husband. He is always there to put a smile on my face, even when im having a bad day and I just want to be mad for a while. Ty does anything I need him to do he is great at helping keep our home clean too. Sometimes I think he is a better housekeeper than I am. I LOVE YOU TY!

For New Years, We got to go to California with some of Ty's family. Rhonda, Cj Ty's aunt Marcie, her kids Mya and Braden and us all drove to Cali on New Years Eve. It was a long drive, but it was really fun. It was a good break before we had to get back to school again.
On new years day we went to Disney Land! Tys uncle Chad and his family were able to go with us. They live in California. I hadn't met his wife or his kids. we had a ton of fun with them. there were so many people at Disney Land. The lines were forever long. We had heard New Years day was one of the slowest days but i think they meant busiest;) It was fun though I havent been there since i was 7 so it was a lot different.

The next day we didnt really have anything to do. we slept in went swimming then the boys found a go kart place. It was really cool. they had to dress up in racing suits and all the gear. There was an inside track that you raced afterward you would get a paper that said your lap times and things it was neat. Ty still couldnt beat CJ though. :D

A funny story about the Go Karts. We were waiting for they boys to race and we were watching the track through a window. it was time for them to race. so as they went by we picked out which one was who since you couldnt really tell beacuse of their helmets. The race finished and Ty kicked butt. i went out by the race track and asked them how it was. They all gave me the funniest look. They hadnt raced yet. I felt so dumb we had taken all these pictures and everything of STRANGERS.

The last day before we drove home was SUPERCROSS the main reason we went!

Super Cross

We went to the Anahiem one supercross race the 3rd of Jan. I was a little nervous at first I have been to CJ's races but nothing with the big professionals. I didnt really know what to expect. It was a BLAST!!
I cant wait to go to the race in Salt Lake. During the day we went into the "Pitts" where we could see the riders, their bikes and their expensive motorhomes. The boys loved it!
That night was the race. They were SO fast i couldnt believe it. The only bad part to that is when they crash the really CRASH its scary. But fun to watch. Anyway i will stop blabbering. We all had a great time!

I decided i would make these quilts for Amy and Rhonda for Christmas. Well my mom does these sort of things all the time. She makes it look easy. i will tell you what I am definatly not as good as my Mom. First of all i started way too late. a week and a half was not long enough to do these. But I pulled it off all thanks to my Mom. She helped me a ton. i told her if she did one more stich i would have to tell them they were from her. Thanks Mom for all your help. I couldnt have done it without you.
Rhonda and Amy loved them. I was so glad. They don't look the best if you look really close. but i was proud of them.

Our First Christmas

This was our first Christmas together. It was great! We woke up at my parents house and did Christmas with my family. our niece and nephews were so much fun to watch. They were in my parents room waiting for us to let them out to come see what Santa brought. as soon as we opened the door they came running out. They ran right past the presents and into the kitchen. I don't think they realized what they were waiting for. we got a good laugh. It took them forever to open presents every toy they opened they had to play with for a minute before opening another. It was a blast watching them.

After this we went over to Ty's family to open presents with them. It is rewarding to be married you get Christmas twice. It was alot quieter at the Gardiners no one was fighting over toys but just as fun. (Ty would like to fight CJ over his new i Touch though). We had a ton of gifts to open there and Rhonda and Amy wrapped them so pretty you didn't want to ruin them. It was alot of fun. we were lucky we were able to spend Christmas with both of our families
We were spoiled this Christmas. Our parents did way too much for us. We are so blessed to have such great families.

Ty always pretends he can play the harmonica when he hears one in a song. So, i found a harmonica. I thought it would be funny but it probably was a bad idea. Now he thinks it is funny to annoy me with it.

Ty gave me a GoodFellow Crusher T-Shirt that he got at work for free.(how thoughtful). It was a joke, underneath was a pair of pants he picked out by himself. they were the right size and everything. He did GREAT!

Christams Eve

We spent christmas eve this year with my family. it is a tradition to have clam chowder in bread bowls. I was so excited for it. Everyone was at my parents house and we all slept over. We definatly had a house full. It was a blast. The kids were so much fun to play with.

Thanks Giving

This was our first Thanksgiving together. We spent it with Ty's family. Ty's brother CJ races motorcycles and he had a big National race in Mesquite Thanksgiving weekend.
We left Wed. night after we got off of work. Everything was going great we were making good time till we got right outside of St. George and Cj was talking about years ago when they were going Vegas and got a flat tire and soon as he said "flat tire" we hear a POP! the tire on the Camper blew. there were sparks flyin,and it took the fender off. So we pulled over on the busy freeway and changed the flat. We finally got to Mesquite and we were just in time after they let us in the closed and locked the gates.
Thursday CJ had practice and afterwards we went to St. George for Dinner, we ate at the Cracker Barrell which wasnt that good, but i realized that Thanksgiving isn't only about the good turkey dinner, i was thankful to be with Ty and is wonderful family. We had a great thanksgiving even though it wasnt traditional. Cj raced the next few days he did great.

So this picture wasn't from this last weekend but i wanted to put it on here anyway.

We had a great weekend, and didnt want it to end but we had to come home and get back to school for finals.

Body World

I know what you are all saying Two blogs in one day WOW! lol thats what i'm thinking. I need to blog about our weekend we had. We went to Body World on Saturday. All my family except for syd and Tys sister Amy and brother CJ went too. We were glad they came with my crazy family (They both fit right in with us jk). so we left at the break of dawn so we could be there by 10. we were there by 9 and it doesnt open till 10 so we were a little early. i could have slept longer but anyway, we met Kyla and her family up there. I was excited they could come it seems like we don't see them enough. I cant wait till they live closer.
The exhibit for those that don't know it is real bodies that go through this process that basically makes them plastic. They are posed in weird ways and shows different part of the human body. it really is fasinating, but i expected it to be better. It still was really neat.
The best part was getting together with everyone. We need to do it more often. I love our families. We really are blessed to have such great families. I deffinatly am lucky to end up with such great in-laws. And i know Ty feels the same. we love you guys.

Not a Blogger

So since it has been over a month i thought i better do some blogging. And Amy sure lets me know i havent blogged in forever. She knows everything that goes on so everything i blog about is old news to her but anyway thanks to her i will blog. its hard for me to find things to blog about. It seems like we dont really do anything exciting, all we do is homework. And that would be No fun to blog about.
So about school. it isnt going all that well for us. Ty and I both have the same Professor for different classes his Biology and mine is Anatomy. this Prof. is kicking our butts. he is so hard this is his first year teaching and he is killing us and our grades. so every spare moment we are studying (not that it helps us any) :(. so i am blaming my outdated blog on school.

HoNeY MoOn!

SO we have been married for almost two months now and I am FINALLY getting our honey moon posted. I'm not too good about this blogging thing. I dont have time to keep it updated. But about our honey moon...
We decided to go on the Baha Mexico curise, funny thing about this is both of us had already been on this cruise When we were little in the "Show Masters" dance group. We performed on the ship. But, we didnt know each other then. So that was ironic. This time it was a different curise line and ship. so it was totally different. And we are a "little" older :).
We arrived in CA early Monday morning and we loaded the ship around 1. We hung out on the ship and got unpacked and settled.
We awoke Tuesday morning and we were docked in San Diego. We rode a double decker bus to down town and went into some different shops. We went into a little Hawaiian shop and i got to open a oyster and get the pearl out. It was pretty neat. That night on the ship was Captain's Night, so we dressed up for dinner. They served us escargo "snails" I was nervous to taste them but they actually werent that bad. They weren't chewy like i heard they were. so that was adventurous! After dinner we went to a show called "Signed Sealed Delivered" it was a musical with songs from the 60's. The dancers and singers were amazing.
Wednesday morning we woke up to Beautiful Catilina Island. It is just a small island not too far off the coast. We were excited to go and rent a golf cart and ride around for the day but come to find out you have to be 25 to rent a golf cart. (STUPID if you ask me) so we had to change our plans. We decided to go parasailing. It was a BLAST. we were supposed to be up in the air for 10 minutes. I think we were maybe up there for 5 but it was so worth it. That night on the ship after dinner we went to the show again it was songs from the 80's they did a great job.
Thursday we spent the day in Ensenada Mexico. We walked up and down the main street trying to avoid all the vendors, went in shops and ate at a resturant. It was interesting to see how different Mexico is from the U.S. That night after dinner the show was an orchestra. I didnt think we would like it but it was suprisingly really entertaining. The cruise directer who was leading the orchestra was plaing and E.W.I. it was like an electric claironette. He was astonishing. That night we packed up and set our bags outside our room door to get loaded off the ship.
Friday morning we were back in LA and waited in line to get off the ship. we hopped on a Taxi to go to Anehiem where we would be staying the night. After the long taxi ride that shouldnt have been half as long if the driver hadn't gotten lost we got ready to go to the Anehiem Angels and NY Yankee's MLB Game. That was probably the highlight of our trip for Ty. It was so much fun. Especially since the Yankees got their butts kicked!!
Saturday we spent a few hours in Anehiem then off to the airport to go home. It was sad to end our trip but, we were ready to get home. We had the best time on the cruise it was so relaxing especially after the stress of our wedding.
